Speaking about Korean groups, Young Saeng and Kyu Jong of SS501, have recently come to Hong Kong. Besides meeting the fans, they have also done an exclusive interview with us.
Female commentator:
Ever since Korean popular group SS501 has left the agency which they previously belonged to, they have now joined under different companies. Out of which, Kim Kyu Jong and Heo Young Saeng, have stayed with the original company and expanding into overseas market.

Earlier (this month), Kyu Jong and Young Saeng have come to Hong Kong to meet the fans and have even accepted our interview.
Interviewer:
Alright, sitting here besides me are two pretty boys whom I believe all of you would know who they are when you see them. And they are Kyu Jong and Young Saeng of SS501. [talking to the boys] How about doing an introduction of yourselves?
Kyu Jong & Young Saeng: Hello Everybody! (in 2/3 cantonese, 1/3 chinese!! haha!)
Young Saeng: I’m Young Saeng.
Kyu Jong: I’m Kyu Jong.
Interviewer:
So actually, it has been a year since (both of you) last came. How do you feel now, when you come to Hong Kong once again?
Kyu Jong:
It has been quite long time since (we are) here in Hong Kong, first of all, wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Me and Young Saeng have come to Hong Kong for the fanmeeting. We have prepared a lot, so everyone, please look forward to it. Wish everyone in the year of 2011, having good happenings continuously. Thank you.
Young Saeng:
It has almost been a year since (I have) not been to Hong Kong and (am) very happy to see everyone after such a long time. It is now already 2011, hope everyone can attain their goals. And health is important, hence, hope everyone (is) healthy.
Interviewer:
Previously when in Hong Kong, were there any unforgettable memories that left a deep impression until now? Or, previously when in Hong Kong, there were things that you have not done and wish you could do it again, or eat it again, or go there again?
Young Saeng:
Actually, I have been to Hong Kong in private once, for holiday. That time, (I have) been to many places. But also heard that there are still even more fun places, heard that there is a ride in cable cars at the mountain to view the night scenery. It’s a pity that I have never been there. So, I would really like to ride in a cable car and appreciate the night scenery of Hong Kong.
Kyu Jong:
I have never been to Hong Kong for holiday so am not familiar with Hong Kong. But always heard that the tea and pastries are very famous so would like to drink milk tea and eat pineapple buns. Hope that there would be a chance to do so.
Interviwer:
I seem to have previously heard that (you would) also like to go to Hong Kong’s Lam Kwai Fong. So this time round, would there be any opportunity to go, in fact?
Kyu Jong:
When we were here the last time, I had been there once with all the other members. But when we reached there, we found out that there were too many people, hence, unable to have much fun and so, went back early. If there is an opportunity, would like to have fun together with the youngsters of Hong Kong.
Young Saeng:
I have been to Lam Kwai Fong once and it is beautiful. There are also many nice bars and it is an interesting place. If there is an opportunity this time, would like to feel and enjoy the atmosphere.
Female commentator:
When in Hong Kong the previous time, both came as members of SS501, showing up as the group of five members. However this time, it is only both Kyu Jong and Young Saeng, so they also mention that they are slightly nervous. But upon seeing the passion of the fans, they should not be worried.
Interviewer:
Previously in terms of the five members, both of you are considered as the ones talking the least. So in a way, are you nervous since you have to talk a lot more now?
Young Saeng:
Actually, it is not because we have nothing to say, but, it is them who talk too much. Sometimes when we are talking, and once they join in, we are being cut off (from what is to be said). So obviously, we have something to say, but is being interrupted. Having no choice, have to become quiet. And right now, since there are only the both of us, we must talk and can speak freely, which I feel, is quite good. Even though there is no special training, this is the first time I know why… Since the start of the solo activities, I realise that I can actually speak well too.
Inerviewer:
Right now with the less of three members, (you) can talk more and there is no one interrupting, both of can talk freely. So could both of you say any interesting stuff to everyone?
Kyu Jong:
Everyone must have not known, actually five years ago, I already know the fact that Young Saeng hyung can speak quite good. And how do I know? Everytime when we have a topic, he can always voice out his opinions in a confident manner. But whenever he speaks, there is always the other members voicing their opinions too. So then he speaks lesser, and become quieter. I will then tell him, ‘You go ahead (to say), we are listening’ and thereafter, he will talk non-stop. I know since then, that he not only sings well, not only dances well, he is also very good at talking. This friend, oh, he is not a friend. This brother, because of his eloquence, can also receive attention in Korea and Asia, gaining popularity. If he could master English, (he) could even be recognised in the world, becoming an international superstar and host a talk show in the U.S. I have this idea since five years ago. [pause] Right?
Young Saeng:
Indeed gone too far… (YS meant to say Kyu’s been exaggerating.. hee~)
Female commentator:
Although signed separately under different companies as Kim Hyun Joong and the other good brothers, but as per mentioned by Kyu Jong and Young Saeng, they have been in contact frequently. They will not spoil the relationship because of this. Also, both of them are ready and prepared for their solo activities.
Interviewer:
So, what big plans do the both of you have?
Kyu Jong:
In the year 2011, our members are all focusing on their solo activities. My current plan is to learn acting, and preparing for drama and movie, presenting to the everyone. And after which, to produce some good music for everyone. Hope everyone will anticipate my performance in 2011. And hope everyone could be together with me forever, spending wonderful times. Thank you.
Young Saeng:
At the end of February, I will be releasing my solo album. It is currently already in the midst of preparation. Everyone just wait for a little bit more, I will be releasing it. Please anticipate it. Other than that, this year, I have plans in many other areas. It is not possible that I would not be appearing in television. Hope everyone continue to pay attention to me, I will put in more effort.
Interviewer:
Just now you have mentioned that you would like to act. So, what kind of roles would you prefer to act in? As for singing, what kind of genre of music are you presenting to the listeners?
Kyu Jong:
This is a new challenge to me, no matter what kind of role, I will put in much effort to act. I would very much like to act in romantic comedy and would also like to try in the Hong Kong’s action movie or martial arts movie. I will work very hard and hope everyone will anticipate and give attention.
Young Saeng:
For my solo album, the concept is more on dance music.
Interviewer:
Actually, there are many types of romantic comedy. Would you act as a person who is funny and create jokes or act as a good-looking person? Also, do you ask for acting advices from your friends, like, to gain more attainments?
Kyu Jong:
Firstly, I would like to act in romantic comedy. Frankly speaking, I am not a pretty boy, so absolutely have no intention to move towards that direction. Would like to act in roles that are real-life, roles that can allow all men and women relate themselves to. In Korea, there is this Cha Tae Hyun. There was one time that I have asked him on how to act. He said that, for acting, (you) must relax. And after getting close with the acting partners, would be able to do well. (He) asked me not to have too much stress, I would become an interesting actor in the future.
Interviewer:
Alright, I wish you can become an actor as outstanding as Cha Tae Hyun in the future, and your (referring to Young Saeng) solo album be successful. Ok, so now let’s say bye bye to the viewers!
