On January 27th, SS501’s Park Jung Min made a guest appearance on Mnet’s “Beatles Code“, through which he not only revealed some pre-debut photos, but he also shared a shocking pre-debut story as well.

He began, “I was scouted by an agency in the middle of the street when I was 13 years old. At the time, I was casted into both DSP Media and SM Entertainment.“

He continued, “I had to choose between one or the other. At the time, SM told me that they were preparing a new group, but that the group consisted of many members. Thinking about it now, it was probably Super Junior. I saw them rehearsing, too.”

When asked why he chose DSP Media over SM Entertainment, Park Jung Min answered, “I thought about wanting to see myself on TV and believed that I’d be able to debut faster through DSP Media, which was what influenced my decision.”

He then revealed various pictures from his pre-debut days. MC Yoon Jong Shin quickly spotted a CF Park Jung Min had done for condoms. He asked, ”Are you not embarrassed seeing it now?”

Park Jung Min confidently replied, “Not at all. It was an advertisement advocating a message of safe sex. I’m actually satisfied.”

[News] DSP Media prepares to debut a new boy group

***

Seriously speaking, if DSP really do it that way, this new group would really not be a successful group ever..

DSP really giving groups a lot of hardship.. How can they face they crowd with the group name like that? how can they prove themselves? And especially how can they move freely in the music industry if all eyes is focus on them not because they are talented but because of the name that is completely under another group's popularity.

DSP really knows how to use people for their own sake.. Why do they can't think of another group name to give this new group a face to the crowd..

~ aigoo DSP sucks!!

DSP Media Entertainment is preparing to debut a new boy group that industry representatives have nicknamed “SS502.” The company opened an audition earlier, and the final members were chosen on January 7th.

The company created the group with the intention to continue the success of their representative boy group, SS501. Although their debut date hasn’t been revealed yet, each of the members are undergoing strict training in a variety of genres.

In an interview with Newsen, DSP Media revealed, “About five members have joined the group. We’ll be releasing details on the confirmed members by the end of this month. We’ve brought in our composers to change it up musically, and our goal is to debut them within the first half of this year.”

[News] DSP Entertainment announces formation of SS502

DSP Entertainment held an audition for a follow-up group to SS501 and has announced that the new 7-member group will be called SS502 for the time being.

SS501, whose name stands for “Super Star,” “Singer,” and “5 members united as 1,” debuted in Korea in 2005 and Japan in 2007. In October 2010, it was announced that they would be back in 2011 with an album, but in the meantime the members are doing solo work. Hyunjoong filmed Playful Kiss, while Youngsaeng and Kyujong are holding fan meetings across Asia. On January 20, Jungmin will be releasing his comeback solo album “Not Alone.”

Considering the “501″ from SS501 stands for “5 members united as 1,” does this mean that “502″ in SS502 does not have the same “5 members united as __” meaning? What do you think about this new group and its meaning?
